Clear View Opticians is excited to announce the opening of its second practice, Mucklow & Hardy, at 6a Eastgate, Lincoln.
Clear View Opticians, 169 Burton Road, was established in 2010 by Mrs Annabelle Magee on the derelict site of the Wagon and Horses pub.

She says: “When I opened in 2010 I had no idea how successful the business would be. Due to our reputation for exceptional customer service and consistent eye care we now have over 5,000 patients. It has exceeded all my expectations.

“I am excited to be moving forward with my second practice. I will be available at both premises and Clear View will continue to be my main base for eye examinations. Mr Tomlinson will still be available at Mucklow & Hardy. We invite patients to use either practice at their convenience.”

MUCKLOW & HARDY
Mucklow and Hardy was formed in 1968 by Mr Maurice Mucklow and Mr Reg Hardy. Mr Keith Tomlinson joined the enterprise in 1982.

With a fresh approach to optometry in mind, Mrs Magee has completely refurbished Mucklow & Hardy to create a specialist boutique optician’s practice. Just like a well-engineered watch or a beautiful handbag, spectacles have become a vital accessory to express the wearer’s individuality and style. At Mucklow & Hardy a hand selected range of stunning designer spectacles will showcase fabulous brands such as Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford and Gucci to name but a few. Mrs Magee’s friendly team have extensive product knowledge and are trained to select the best fitting frames to complement your face shape, image and lifestyle.

BESPOKE BOUTIQUE
“My aim at Mucklow & Hardy is to offer something different. My ethos is to only allow fully qualified dispensing opticians to fit and measure your spectacles and this principle will be continued at Mucklow & Hardy. Consistent eye care is the key. I believe you should be seen by the same optometrist at every visit, to ensure outstanding care.

“You don’t need to have an eye test, if it’s luxury eyewear you’re looking for, I encourage you to pop in and browse.”

Additional services at Mucklow & Hardy include a bespoke tailor made frame service. They even have the facility to insert Swarovski crystals or diamonds into your lenses, ensuring complete uniqueness.

Their dispensing opticians specialise in the more complex dispensing. They can provide specialist sport prescription lenses, ski/swim goggles, dental loupes, exclusive varifocal designs and much more. They deliver the best quality luxury products for the more discerning customer.

CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
Mucklow & Hardy will be able to offer enhanced eye care. The practice also boasts a state-of-the-art Ocular Coherence Tomographer (OCT). OCT is the latest technology for performing high-resolution, cross-sectional 3D scans of the retina. It is non-invasive and similar to ultrasound imaging, using light instead of sound. It allows for the identification of minute changes which can indicate the onset of eye disease.

Mrs Magee accepts referrals from other opticians and medical professionals. She said: “It is fantastic to have this technology to be able to offer to both Mucklow & Hardy and Clear View’s patients. As a practitioner with specialist interest where I further investigate eye issues on behalf of the NHS, the value of this scan is amazing. It certainly speeds up investigation and diagnosis of ocular conditions before you’ve even arrived at the hospital setting.”

Mr Tomlinson and Mrs Magee are both available for appointments at Mucklow & Hardy. To book an appointment call 01522 538889 or email enquiries@clearviewopticians.co.uk. For more information on both practices www.clearviewopticians.co.uk
