Out and about with Lincs FM
The staff at Lincs FM never miss a chance to get down to the shops and October has given John Marshall the chance to check out the newly refurbished Marks and Spencer store on the High Street in Lincoln. John gave listeners the chance to win their share of £1000 worth of gift vouchers in a treasure hunt around the store.
John Marshall also visited the new Argos store at the Carlton Centre in Lincoln, while listeners had the chance to win Argos vouchers. The competition also continued during the breakfast show with Ed, who was giving away £200 worth of vouchers every day. Lincs FM has loads of on air competitions over the next few months including the chance to win a Christmas party and tickets to the theatre.
Lincs FM towers are quickly becoming one of the best places in Lincolnshire to celeb spot. Vanessa and Rochelle from the Saturdays came in to co-host the breakfast show with Ed. In the run-up to the visit, we gave our listeners the chance to come in and meet the girls. The lucky winner was Charlotte Green, who brought in her friend, Jade Taylor. Vanessa and Rochelle chatted to Ed about their new single, the album and even seemingly posing naked! Rochelle ruined the illusion by revealing that she actually just rolled up her tracksuit bottoms. Vanessa and Rochelle, also tried to get Ed to reveal who the mystery voice belonged to, but he stood up well to their interrogations.
Lincs FM has also hosted a couple of last year’s X Factor contestants. Winner Matt Cardle, came in to co-host the afternoon show with Rob Hammond. Matt chatted about taking part in the show, working with Gary Barlow on his new single and how weird it was going back on the show. He also met competition winner Donna, from Cherry Willingham, and her daughter Danielle, who are both huge fans of Matt.
Probably one of last year’s most controversial X Factor contestants was Cher Lloyd and she paid us a visit here at Lincs FM. She joined Eddie Shaw for a chat about what life had been like since the show and her plans for the future.
