A taste of Italian wines
Kate McFruin of Liberty Wines was host for an evening of Italian wine tasting at Doddington Hall. Wines varied from the Allegrini Estate Lugana 2019 to a lively rosé Cassiopea Bolgheri Rosato 2021. Kate added her own tasting notes as the wines were sampled. Refreshments included a welcome glass of English Rathfinny Estate Classic Cuvée Brut 2018 and antipasti. The evening ended with the deeply rich and fruity ‘Giovanni Allegrini’ Recioto Classico 2016. All of the featured Champagnes are available from the Doddington Wine Shop.
