Mask-for-aid charity ball

Kesteven Children in Need held their Masquerade Ball at Belton Woods Hotel, Grantham recently.
The wholly voluntary charity has been established for more than forty years and provides practical help to children and families struggling with financial and emotional pressures. One hundred and fifty masked revellers enjoyed dinner and then danced the night away. An auction helped to boost the event’s total money raised to over £12,000 thanks to items generously donated by local individuals and businesses. The auction lots were as diverse as a gliding experience, work experience in the City and the use of a seaside chalet.

KCIN chairwoman, Lucy Lee said: “Although everyone is feeling the pinch, helping such a well-loved local charity was reason enough for people to dig a little deeper than they might usually do.”
