In September the Yellowbelly Ball, organised by Jody Stewart, welcomed guests to an enchanted woodland. The Ball attracted guests from across the county and country, raising money for Endometriosis UK. The charity’s CEO Emma Cox attended and spoke to guests about the charity’s work.

Endometriosis is an extremely painful disease, which occurs when cells similar to the lining of the womb are found outside the womb. It impacts approximately 1 in 10 people assigned female at birth, can currently only be diagnosed with surgery and there is no cure.

Jody co-leads the Lincoln Endometriosis Support Group. Further information can be found at: www.endometriosis-uk.org. As well as raising money, the event had the aim of being carbon positive with all guests being given Tree Bombs (small pellets containing tree seeds), with instructions on how and where to grow them. With the kind donations from a number of local businesses, the successful event raised over £12,000.
