With a traditional coaching inn history going back some 250+ years, the current owners have sympathetically refurbished all 8 bedrooms in a contemporary style. All Accommodation has en-suite facilities and for those requiring a longer stay whether for work or a vacation, there is also a self-contained 3 bed apartment of one family room, one twin and a small double with an open-plan kitchen/living area and its own private shower room.

The King's Head is situated in the town centre with ample car parking space to the rear of the hotel and is about 100 metres south from St. James' Church and in the opposite direction 100 metres north of St. Mary's Catholic Church making The Kings Head an ideal venue for your wedding reception or christening celebration. Our contemporary and spacious 44 seat restaurant, Upstairs@TheKings, serves lunchtime and evening meals by our head chef Andy Trench and his dedicated team. Andy has had extensive experience over his long career and has cooked for some very illustrious clients. Whenever possible we use locally sourced fresh ingredients on a daily basis which the chefs employ in our extensive food offerings creating varied menus that change regularly with Daily Specials plus seasonal promotional delights.

Food is served in the downstairs bar area or alternatively our upstairs restaurant for a quieter venue. Bookings can be taken for special occasions and menus prepared and tailored to your requirements. We have somewhere different to try in Louth in the evenings, Upstairs@TheKings... Breakfast: Served Until 12 Noon Monday To Saturday: Start your day with a Full English, Eggs Benedict or Royale, Smashed Avocado, Ham & Eggs or a selection of Breakfast Buns plus a delicious Vegetarian option.
