Kate Chapman caught up with the fastest man on ice in our county, Lamin Deen. In February, Lamin was part of the Great Britain four-man bobsleigh team who took part in the Winter Olympics in Beijing. The adrenaline rush of reaching speeds of up to 85 mph downhill is well described by Lamin. Read more on page 60. Kate has also been looking at how Moulton will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the village’s historic windmill, as well as marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Barbara Young interviewed Sally and Tony Gratwick, founders of Bundle and Rust. The couple are based in Barton upon Humber and make a range of natural goat’s milk soaps and beauty products. Woodhall Spa based Pogle’s Seeds feature in Barbara’s second article. Their wildflower seed business has gone from strength to strength as people appreciate the ecological benefits of growing native flower species. Read more on page 54.
