Description

by Tina Negus

From the first poem, ‘Origins’, to the closing lines of ‘To one end only’, poet Tina Negus achieves a captivating balance between the elemental and the everyday. ‘We Cro-Magnons with digital cameras’ are but a small part of a vast natural world and rich history, which takes as its subject matter a diverse range of archaic, mythological and contemporary references. Negus’ verse delights in the tactile, conveying textures, smells and sensuous encounters with nature, which is little surprise coming from a writer who is also a noted photographer and painter with a degree in Natural Sciences.
